Philosophy
It is our philosophy at Home Away From Home that from the
earliest age, children "learn by doing". Children learn best and retain information when they are an active participant
in the process. Our programs have been carefully designed to enable each child to realize their full potential while developing
a good sense of self-esteem. Our

Our programs have been designed to enable each child
to reach their full potential. Children are encouraged to be independent but to also realize their important place in a team
environment. Our classrooms run on weekly themes allowing children to discover something new every day. Students learn through
fun and participation in activities such as science, music, cooking, drama and even a special "show-n-tell" day.
Our Pre-K class has consistently tested in the 90th percentile for kindergarten! After a year of learning and fun we hold a "Moving-Up" and Graduation Ceremony each June. Our
Facility Our 6000
square foot facility, conveniently located on Route 9W, just 2 minutes from Vails Gate was renovated in the summer of
2004. We have two infant rooms, toddler room, setup room, three year old classroom, pre-kindergarten classroom and a before
and after school classroom. We also have both an indoor and outdoor play area. Every classroom has its own bathroom and sink,
as well as the entire building being central air-conditioned. As an added safety feature, our main entrance has a security
foyer, limiting access through a key pad entry system where each family has their own code for entry into our facility. |
